How can I help my child at home?
Hear your child read at least three times a week and check their understanding of what they are reading. It is also very helpful to pick out new vocabulary and explain how to use a new word in other contexts. Reading journals will be checked every Thursday.
Help your child learn their weekly spellings and check that they are confident in using these words. Spellings are tested every Tuesday.
Help your child learn their times tables to ensure they are prepared for times tables testing carried out weekly by Mrs Lovick.
Help your child with their homework. Homework is sent every Friday and will be collected on Wednesday.
