Welcome to Class 6 Dolphins.
This is us......
We have had a busy start to the new school year.
We enjoyed a Teddy Bears picnic.
We have created a Working Wall in our classroom. Our focus over the next few weeks in English is Hansel and Gretel.
We used puppets to retell the main events of the story of Hansel and Gretel.
In science we are learning all about our five senses.
We drew around one of our friends and added different textures to the body. We then wrote words that described the textures we were feeling and used our sense of touch.
Well Done Class 6 Dolphins - Keep it up!
We passed around some smelling pots. Using our sense of smell we had a good sniff, do you know what part of the body we use to smell? As you can see from the photos not all the pots smelt nice!
In English we have been looking at Hansel and Gretel. We have been learning about asking questions, why, where, when, what and who? We had a super time hot-seating. We thought of some very good questions to ask the Witch from Hansel and Gretel.
WOW another certificate for fantastic attendance!
This weeks science lesson we have been investigating our sense of taste. We predicted which foods would taste sweet, sour, bitter and salty. These were our predictions...
We tasted dark chocolate, popcorn, crisps and oranges.
We have changed our working wall, we have been listening and working on the story Jack and the Beanstalk. Here is our working wall...
This week we will be participating in lots of exciting activities learning all about the country of
We travelled on a first class aeroplane to France to taste the delicious foods at Café de Paris. Looked at famous French landmarks and also visited a French Tourist Information Centre to gain lots of information. We then completed a Fact File on France.
