All children have been sent home with a home learning pack and an extra reading book. Within the pack, there are a range of writing, reading, maths and grammar activities, as well as some fun practical ideas. There have also been lots of activities set on both MyMaths and PurpleMash. Please spend some time each day completing some of these activities.
If there are any questions about the work, the children have been shown how to contact me via PurpleMash messaging (2Email) - please feel free to get in touch! I have also created a blog on PurpleMash which the children can add to to let us all know what they're up to.
Please keep checking this page, PurpleMash and the school Facebook page for any updates/messages from staff. I will regularly update this page with new websites, challenges and activities.

Spring 2 - Inventors and Inventions
Homework, reading and spellings
Homework will be sent out on a Friday to be returned on the following Wednesday. The homework is a combination of written and computer-based work, and should take approximately 30 minutes to complete each week. If you don't have access to a computer at home, this isn't a problem; there will be a homework club at school for your child to attend, during which homework can be completed.
We also ask that your child reads both independently and to you during the week, with this being recorded in reading records, which should be brought into school each day.
Each week, the children will be taught a new set of spellings at school and will be given a list of these to take home in order to practice and consolidate their learning. They will also be given a list of new vocabulary from our whole class guided reading text to find the definitions of.
PE will take place on Wednesdays and Fridays. Please ensure a full PE kit is in school on these days. Thank you!
Our exciting topic in Autumn 1 was 'A Kingdom United'! As part of this, we learned about the wonderful country in which we live, with a focus on the Anglo-Saxons and how they invaded Britain. Please ask your children what they have learned: they should remember lots!
