World Book Day!
What a lovely day we have had. We felt very comfortable all day in our Pj's! We created book token for a competition, completed book reviews and shared our favourite stories!
Welcome to 4V's class page!
In English, this term, we have been reading the story
'The Firework Maker's Daughter'.
We have thoroughly enjoyed reading this fantasy story and cannot wait to write our own!
Look how we have been creative....
Music lessons with Mr Wilson are really enjoyable. We have been learning how to play the guitar and now know how to play the notes E, B, G and A. We have also learnt some great songs with actions that have taught us pace and rhythm.
Check out this song:
Peas, Pudding, Hot (ouch)
Peas, Pudding, Cold (bbbbrrrrr)
Peas, Pudding in the pot, nine days old (yack)!
Linked to our Science unit - Electricity - we have created our own reading light. We gathered ideas from current products on the market, designed our own light and made it. Here are some of the final products...
This is Hirah and Hadiya's design - they have made a bookmark with a light - a very clever idea!
Imaan and Ayesha used glasses to create their light which made it hands-free!
Hasan, Hamza and Armaan made their light so that it clipped to a headboard of a bed or table so that it would be hands free!
We are focusing on presentation in class. We need to remember to use DUMTUMS for writing the date and learning objective, neat handwriting and to always try our best!
Here is a super example:
Look how neat Jannat has written each number in each square and how beautiful her handwriting is. This is now displayed on our 'Proud Cloud' board. A big high five to Jannat - well done!
We have some visitors in our class. We only see them when we are quiet though!! Ssssshhhhh!
