Welcome to the Reading Ambassador's club page.

We strongly believe that reading is dreaming with open eyes; when we read a book we are able to delve into new worlds and situations, allowing us to recognise new ways of thinking and explore other cultures.

Meet the Reading Ambassadors!

In our first session we discussed our favourite books and introduced ourselves on the green screen!

‘Could you imagine a world without mystery? Could you imagine a world without adventure? Could you imagine a world where children had no imagination? At Cedars the children love reading and feel like we enter the books that we read. My favourite book is Alice in Wonderland and I feel like I am falling down the rabbit hole with her. We have so much potential and reading will only help us achieve this. Books help us with our confidence and help us with our speech. We love books because they can make you laugh and sometimes make you cry - but they always help develop our vocabulary.’
Zaynah (6EP)

If you are in Year Six, and interested in becoming a Reading Ambassador, our sessions are every Thursday at 3:10-3:50!

The Bookworm Balcony

The children in Reading Club really enjoyed visiting out new reading area on the balcony. The parents, teachers and children at Cedars have all worked increcibly hard to create our bollywood inspired 'Bookworm Balcony' - a place where we can all come to relax and get stuck into a good book!
