Class - 2S

Welcome to Year 2S

Class Teacher: Mrs L. Sames (B.Ed Hons)

Teaching and Learning Assistant: Mrs M. Hodge

Class Information:

P.E. - Wednesday morning

         Friday afternoon.

One of these sessions is planned as an outdoor P.E. session and therefore your child will need jogging trousers/leggings, a sweatshirt to keep them warm in the coming months and a pair of trainers. Indoor P.E. sessions require black shorts, white t - shirt and black pumps.

Uniform: Our uniform list can be found on this website and can be purchased at Whittaker's Uniform Shop in town. Jewellery is NOT part of the uniform unless for religious purposes. Earrings are not to be worn as they are a health and safety risk.

Lunches: All children in Year 2 are entitled to free school dinners. They are also provided with milk and fruit in the morning. We are a healthy school and our kitchen provides halal meals.

Homework: Your child will be given homework to be completed in specific homework books every Friday. This can be completed over the weekend and returned to school the following Wednesday. Also they will be required to read daily at home and complete tasks set on specific websites: Purplemash, My Maths, Education City and TT Rock Stars. Your child's login details to these sites can be found in the front of their reading record book. When a child has read to an adult at home, please sign their reading record book so that a new book can be given.

Thank you.

2nd October 2018 - Artist Liz Perry visited our class today to show us how to make printing blocks. We had a great time exploring colours and shapes and creating our own blocks.
